Brooks Koepka has thrown his weight behind Tiger Woods’ call for a dress code shake-up on the PGA Tour.
Five-time major winner Koepka left the tour for LIV Golf in 2022. The breakaway league has introduced shotgun starts, three-round tournaments, and no-cut events in an attempt to freshen up competitions and to make themselves distinct from the PGA.

Those efforts extend to on-course attire as well, with LIV veering away from the strict trouser policy that is enforced by the PGA. LIV Golf permits all players to wear shorts. This luxury is offered up to players on the DP World Tour in exceptionally high temperatures, but the PGA remains unmoved.
Golf legend Woods pushed for the PGA to rethink their traditionalist rulebook in 2018 but his request has so far gone unheard. Koepka has added his support for players to be allowed a more relaxed dress code, having relished the chance to wear shorts after leaving the tour.
